Classic Golden Isles of Georgia...Tucked on the coast between Savannah and Florida are two islands you just can't pass up.  St. Simon's Island is filled with historic landmarks.  The waterside Pier & Village offers shopping and dining for everyone & the St. Simon's Island Lighthouse.  Jekyll Island is a Georgia State Park where residents purchase their homes, but can only "lease" their state-owned lots.  Their beach is tranquil and un-commercialized.  The historic district is another National Historic Landmark and features the "club and cottages" in Millionaire's Village.  It's a full day of fun, but easily a day trip from Savannah or a stop en route to other destinations.
